Upkar Trust is committed to creating opportunities through which women and aspiring youth can develop practical skills, strengthen their confidence, and prepare themselves for sustainable and dignified livelihood opportunities.
Women are the foundation of every family, community, and nation. When they receive quality training, proper guidance, and opportunities to develop their abilities, they can strengthen their economic independence and contribute significantly to the well-being and progress of society.
With this vision, Upkar Trust has launched the Women Skill Development & Self-Employment Project to promote vocational skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The project aims to equip women and aspiring youth with practical, employment-oriented skills, nurture entrepreneurial thinking, and empower them to build self-reliant and dignified livelihoods.
Every training program is delivered through a structured three-phase learning model, enabling participants to progressively develop fundamental knowledge, practical competencies, and entrepreneurial skills.
The standard duration of each training program is generally nine (9) months.
Trainees are expected to successfully complete all three phases of the program before becoming eligible for certification, subject to the applicable assessment and certification requirements.
The project emphasizes hands-on training rather than classroom theory alone. Participants receive practical exposure through real-life exercises, product development activities, quality improvement practices, and skill enhancement.
The training includes introductory guidance on entrepreneurship, covering topics such as:
